Anyone who actually knows me will know two things:
1. I love Halo, and
2. I'm a little shit with the sniper rifle.

So you should be able to guess that I'm very excited at the prospect of the new Halo game; Halo 3 Recon. Set during the war you now assume the role of a marine in the ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Troopers).

The new trailer shown at the Tokyo Games Show 2008, TGS08, expands on the earlier trailer showing a city being peppered by ODST drop pods. It continues to show a lone soldier climbing out of his drop pod and hiding away from a squad of Brutes before making his escape into the city.

While not as hard arse as the Spartans the OSDT are the best of the best... almost. Hopefully this will mean new ways to play the game as the OSDT don't have the recharging sheilds, enhanced speed or strength that the Spartans have. So hiding from a pack of Brutes and waiting for one to wander off before picking him off would be a very different experience.

Other than that the new Halo 3 update should keep me entertained just that little bit longer...
